What is the eligibility criteria for admission to Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology?

The eligibility criteria for admission to Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology vary depending on the program and the applicant’s nationality.

For Indian students:

Undergraduate programs:

  • Applicants must have passed the 12th board exam from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (47.5% for reserved categories) in the relevant subjects.
  • For some programs, such as B.Tech. in Agriculture Engineering, applicants must also qualify the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main.

Postgraduate programs:

  • Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate (50% for reserved categories).
  • For some programs, such as M.Tech. in Agriculture Engineering, applicants must also qualify the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).

For international students:

  • Applicants must have an equivalent qualification to the Indian 12th board exam or bachelor’s degree, depending on the program they are applying to.
  • Applicants must also have a valid English language proficiency test score, such as the TOEFL or IELTS.

Additional requirements:

  • All applicants must be medically fit to study at GBPUAT.
  • Applicants must also submit a police clearance certificate.
